Local History
On December 16, 1962, The St. Petersburg Alumni Chapter became the 18th alumni chapter chartered in the Southern Province. Since its chartering, the chapter has hosted two Province meetings: the 27th, April 7-9, 1977; and the 41st, May 9-12, 1991. In addition, the chapter also hosted a Founder’s Day Celebration and Town Hall Meeting with the former Grand Polemarch Samuel C. Hamilton in January 2005.
During the 57th Southern Province Council Meeting held in Jacksonville, FL the St. Petersburg Alumni Chapter was recognized as the 2007 Medium Chapter of the Year.
The St. Petersburg Alumni Chapter serves all of Pinellas County. Which includes but not limited to the cities of Clearwater, Largo, Dunedin, Seminole, Safety Harbor and all other surrounding cities.
Our general body meetings are held every third Saturday of the month.
In addition, the chapter has 7 Fifty Year Members, 17 Life Members, 4 Southern Province Life Members and we are home of the Former Southern Province Vice-Polemarch Cecil Keene.
